Overview:

HostSave has been around the block a long time. They were one of the companies acquired by the Affinity hosting group at a relatively cheap price, and are the only Affinity host that we recommend. We have found that their customer service is above average. Uptime and reliability is average. They give huge amounts of bandwidth for the price, which is great if your site gets tons of downloads. Speed is somewhat of an issue since they give away tons of bandwidth to every client and it is sometimes abused.

Our extensive investigations indicate that user satisfaction with HostSave has been dropping recently and that their negative to positive reviews are basically even right now; though we have seen good reviews in the past.

5 Year Projection:

Analyzing the growth rates, customer retention, employee retention, technical infrastructure, and all historical issues; we believe that HostSave may be a good home for your download site in the short term but there could be turbulent waters down the road. We still like their bandwidth for our music download sites.
